REPORTS TO:  PDSS Manager

SUPERVISES:  None

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and initial analysis of assigned projects for Cost and Schedule performance.
  • Responsible for the establishment, tracking, and close out of Post Delivery charge codes
  • Interfaces with customer and internal departments on preparation of project status for the Program
  • Responsible for collecting deliverable inputs from various departments and assists in reviewing for technical and administrative correctness prior to submitting to customer
  • Schedules, tracks and provides deliverable status including the adjudication of comments IAW requirements
  • Responsible for the configuration of Post Delivery contractual supporting documents
  • Participates in meetings (customer, subcontractor) as required
  • Liaises with Contracts Department daily to coordinate outgoing correspondence
  • May be required to capture minutes, action items periodically for Program Meetings

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA preferred, or 3 years relevant experience and training
  • Excellent knowledge of one or more Program Management functions.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills. Ability to analyze and summarize information effectively
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization skills a must
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven research and analysis skills a must.
  • Working knowledge of shipbuilding methodologies and processes required
  • PMP Certification a plus
  • Earned Value experience a plus
  • Data/Configuration Management experience a plus
  • Knowledge of Government contracts a plus
  • Primavera and WinSight experience a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

LIAISES WITH:  Functional Groups, subcontractors and customers on a daily basis.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:

  • Up to 20% travel required
  • Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA:

  • Able to provide proof of US Person Status
  • No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within

   seven years from disposition date

  • No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from

  disposition date

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD clearance may be required if deemed necessary in the scope of your position responsibilities.
