REPORTS TO:  PDSS Manager

SUPERVISES:  Variable

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Establish,  maintain and monitor overall program metrics for cost, schedule and performance
  • Utilizes Earned value Management System (EVMS) on a daily, weekly and monthly basis to evaluate and report out on performance trends by Project
  • Plans, organizes and conducts data collection necessary to determine the utilization of the company’s resources; i.e. manpower, tools, equipment, facilities, space, etc.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of total program metrics for cost, schedule and performance
  • Support Project Managers, as needed, to help them effectively manage their Projects
  • Assists supporting CLIN Managers with the establishment, performance analysis and reporting of their baseline budgets.
  • Develop new tracking tools, databases and processes, as necessary, and facilitate implementation
  • Lead internal meetings as required.
  • May be required to capture meeting minutes and/or action items at Customer reviews

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

  • BS/BA preferred, or 5 years relevant experience and training
  • EVMS and performance metrics proficiency a must.
  • Ship Repair/Post Delivery experience a plus
  • EVMS certification a plus
  • PMP Certification a Plus
  • Excellent communication skills. Must be able to analyze and summarize information effectively
  • Ability to do high level research utilizing a variety of resources
  • Ability to translate rough notes into well-organized documents and presentations
  • Has mastered knowledge of one or more major Program Management functions
  • Has a minimum of 3 years shipbuilding or related experience
  • Exceptional team member who supports Team Leader in all decision-making and actions.
  • Can work with employees at every level of the company
  • Experience working Government contracts
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization skills a must
  • Must be able to take initiative and follow projects through to completion
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, Access; Primavera; Winsight

LIAISES WITH:  Department Managers, subcontractors and customer on daily basis
