Job Description

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for training of pre-commissioning crew:
o Assist development and QA of crew training curriculum, instructor
guides, student guides and multi-media presentations
o Develop electronic presentations in PPT and audio-visual aids including
classroom and shipboard videos
o Assist conduct of classroom seminars and shipboard training to meet all
contractual requirements
• Responsible for technical assistance/research to Crew Training Specialists
• Responsible for interfacing with internal and external customers
• Responsible for developing and maintaining Crew Training libraries/databases
• Responsible for other Crew Training related activities including internal training
program
• Successful applicant must be willing to cross-train to other areas within ILS as
necessary
QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:
• 3 years of Navy/USCG/MSC crew training or related instructor experience
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Experience interacting with internal and external customers.
• High School diploma or equivalent required. Training/computer related
studies/coursework is highly preferred
• Computer literate and highly proficient with Microsoft Office products.
• Prior U.S. Navy, MSC or USCG experience desired, but not required
• US Citizenship
