Job Description

REPORTS TO: Document Control Coordinator

SUPERVISES: N/A
 

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Control and issue of engineering documents including drawings, technical manuals and vendor drawings

  • Issue, receive and track to Production, Client and Regulatory Body

  • Tracking all issued documents through their approval process.

  • Upload and download documents to secure websites

  • Confer with document originators or engineering liaison personnel to resolve discrepancies and compile required changes to documents.

  • Operation of reproduction equipment.

  • Expedite Vendor Furnished Information (VFI) with Austal suppliers.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree preferred but AA degree required

  • Minimum two plus years’ experience in drawing and technical document control

  • Demonstrated time management skills

  • Proven organizational abilities

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Confidentiality with ITAR related information required

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines

  • Ability to read drawings would be advantageous

  • Proficiency in MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook

  • Experience working in an Integrated Date Environment (IDE) and familiarity with uploading/downloading documents preferred

LIAISES WITH: Engineering\ILS, Supply Chain, Customer, Program Management, Equipment Suppliers and ILS Support Contractors
 

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:

  • No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date

  • No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
