Job Description

REPORTS TO:  Manager Compensation

SUPERVISES:  N/A

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate employee data and ensure system integrity by supporting day-to-day HRIS functionality, troubleshooting issues, assisting with configuration, and administering compliance reporting requirements.
  • Participate in the design, testing, and implementation of new HRIS functionality and system enhancements based on evolving business needs.
  • Monitor HRIS data accuracy through regular audits and analysis of data flows; recommend improvements to enhance data integrity.
  • Identify systems and processes that can be improved and propose new solutions that increase value and improve business performance.
  • Develop, maintain, and deliver routine and ad hoc reports to support HR functions including headcount, turnover, compensation, and compliance metrics.
  • Create and manage dashboards to provide real-time workforce insights to HR and business stakeholders.
  • Support recurring HR cycles such as merit planning, benefits open enrollment, and performance reviews.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion and submission of compliance reporting requirements including EEO-1, VETS-4212, and Affirmative Action Plans (AAP)
  • Develop and enhance HRIS documentation including policies and procedures, user guides, training/operating manuals, and standard operating procedures.
  • Develop, maintain, and distribute HRIS process documents and checklists for internal HR users.
  • Regularly review and recommend improvements in Human Resource processes to ensure best practice approach and legal compliance; identify opportunities for process automation within HR to enhance efficiency and reduce manual efforts.
  • Provide day-to-day HR system support and participate in special projects as assigned.
  • Respond to internal data inquiries, validating requests against established security guidelines and ensuring information provided directly supports business requirements.
  • Provide process and administrative support for Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS). Responsible for verifying all required supporting documents have been submitted to make changes.
  • Serve as E-Verify administrator: Manage I-9 assignments for new hires, set up and train new users, and serve as the process Subject Matter Expert. Provide guidance on resolving Temporary Non-Confirmation (TNC) results, including providing updates on required actions and tracking temporary approvals.

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience required 
  • 2 – 5 years of progressive HR and HRIS experience required; Workday experience strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive understanding of Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) platforms, data flows, and system integrations
  • Proven ability to effectively analyze and synthesize large amounts of data into relevant insights
  • Strong problem solving, critical thinking, analytical skills, and attention to detail
  • Ability to present data in a logical, concise manner
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a high-pressure environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical users and interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated discretion when handling highly sensitive and/or confidential information
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of current Federal laws and regulations and to interpret specific rules, laws and regulations
  • Strong computer proficiency and technical aptitude to utilize MS Office tools, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong HRIS proficiency and systems aptitude.  Knowledge of data management requirements and highly proficient with a variety of systems.
