Job Description

REPORTS TO: Facility Security Manager

SUPERVISES:  Not applicable

AUTHORITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Professionally administer all incoming calls to Visitor Control.
  • Greet guests in a professional, friendly, hospitable manner and register in visitor logs and databases
  • Prepare visitor information packages for Visitor Control Specialist review and approval
  • Create/Activate/Re-activate access badges
  • Utilize various software programs for data entry and badge creation
  • Create accurate memos, correspondence, reports, and other documents
  • Scan and electronically file documents; Maintain all files in an orderly manner
  • Perform clerical and administrative support duties as needed
  • Issue Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Promotes workplace safety by keeping work areas clean and free of obstructions

QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE:

  • Two-year administrative, clerical, or customer service experience required
  • Excellent phone etiquette
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and occasional holidays in support of department and customer needs required
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) required
  • Ability to learn new software programs quickly
  • Proven ability to multi-task
  • Ability to acquire and maintain a SECRET clearance required.

ADDITIONAL GUIDELINES:

  •   Candidates must meet the following employment eligibility guidelines to be considered for employment with Austal USA:
  • 18 years of age or older at time of application
  • Able to provide proof of US Person Status
  • No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
  • No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen
  • Willing to submit to a background check
